About The Position
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Reservoir Engineering Technical Specialist in Houston, TX. In this role, you will obtain, organize, QA/QC, and input data into various computer software applications such as PHDWin, Aries, and ComboCurve. This position is crucial for providing technical support and assistance to engineers and geologists with project building and tracking. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the quality of production data that is entered into databases, which is essential for accurate reporting and analysis. Your responsibilities will include providing production forecasting using production decline curves, which is vital for understanding future production capabilities. You will also support acquisition and divestiture processes, as well as field development by accessing outside information sources. Additionally, you will assist in preparing scoping economics for capital projects, which involves analyzing potential financial outcomes and resource allocation. As a Reservoir Engineering Technical Specialist, you will work both independently on projects and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed team. This role requires you to work closely with other technicians and engineers of varying experience levels to manage and build resource databases effectively. You will be tasked with preparing reports as required from Reserve/Resource databases and supporting engineering workflows to capture data for these databases. Maintaining documentation of Engineering Technician processes is also a key responsibility, as is working with Project Leaders to communicate and track project timelines and work efforts.
