About The Position

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineer for their Midland, TX office to support the SACROC asset. This position represents a key member of a multi-discipline team that adds value to the asset through capital reinvestment and application of solid reservoir management skills. This position works in concert with team reservoir engineers, geologists, production/facility engineers, and field operations to identify, develop, and execute CO2 flood projects for operations in SACROC.

Requirements

• 5+ years relevant experience in reservoir engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to use petroleum engineering principles to solve problems.
• Proficiency in reservoir engineering and pattern management practices.
• Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge.
• Understanding of oil and gas finance in relation to reserves and economics.
• Ability to understand typical well-logging suites.
• Experience in developing technical documents.
• High proficiency in all required technical and economic software packages.
• MS-Office proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Flooding processes exposure.
• Water-flood and/or CO2 flood experience.
• Experience using SACROC custom programs such as KMWAG and KMPLAN.
• DSS - working knowledge of Production Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Support the SACROC asset through capital reinvestment and reservoir management.
• Work with team reservoir engineers, geologists, production/facility engineers, and field operations.
• Identify, develop, and execute CO2 flood projects.
• Make technically and economically sound recommendations.
• Develop technical documents such as AFEs, economic analysis, and presentations to management.
