Be part of a seven-person team where reserving insights influence underwriting strategy for a Swiss-regulated global reinsurer. You will lead deep-dive analyses, improve our processes, and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in reserving, pricing, capital modelling or similar preferable.
• Degree in mathematics, statistics, physics or a closely-related field.
• Near-completed or fully completed actuarial qualification; we provide study leave and exam sponsorship.
• Solid understanding of (re)insurance industry.
• Hands-on Python skills (or strong willingness to deepen them) and advanced Excel skills.
• Professional English; German or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run quarterly reserving analyses – from first assumptions through data preparation to reporting.
• Lead deep-dives on complex classes, refining methods and assumptions.
• Automate and streamline workflows in Python and enhance existing Excel tools.
• Present results to Underwriting and Finance teams, turning technical findings into business decisions.
• Challenge data and assumptions with a curious mindset to sharpen accuracy and insight.
