About The Position

This role is responsible for executing a comprehensive engineering process to evaluate customers' petroleum reserves in support of Reserve Based Lending (RBL). The successful candidate will apply strong technical expertise to assess collateral value and identify potential risks, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the lending process. Requirements

  • B.S. Petroleum Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience and understanding of discounted cash flows and cash flow modeling.
  • Strong Aries experience is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Access and Excel skills; Excel modeling experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely completion of engineering evaluations.
  • Conduct engineering and economic assessments of oil and gas assets for RBL purposes.
  • Prepare detailed narrative engineering reports and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding technical matters.
  • Generate internal reports related to oil and gas portfolio performance and risk.
  • Follow established credit policies and due diligence procedures.
  • Analyze and present oil and gas cash flow projections.
  • Utilize engineering software (e.g., ARIES, PHDWin) to model reserves and forecast production.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of engineering methodologies to improve processes.
