About The Position

L3Harris is currently seeking a part-time Security Guard for our Camden, NJ location. This position is a bargaining unit represented position. Part-time Guards work all shifts: Monday – Sunday; and must be available for weekday evenings and weekends. Hourly rate is $18.65 with no Health or Welfare benefits.

Essential Functions:

Must be able to work under general direction part-time/on-call
Security Guards will ensure a safe and secure working environment for L3Harris employees, tenants, guests, and facility.
Ensure parking patrons are not interfering with or prohibiting employee departure and arrival to the facility.
Patrol building perimeter via foot, or vehicle.
Monitor building entries and exits.
May be required to perform Entry Control and administrative duties.
Operate access control and alarm system.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must have basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word, Outlook, etc.
• Must be available for weekday evenings and weekends.
• Must be available to work different shifts Sunday-Saturday.
• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Must properly wear company provided uniform.

Nice To Haves

• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive and diplomatic manner.
• Ability to work independently.
• Prior Security Guard experience.
