About The Position

Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture in Denali National Park and Preserve is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as the Assistant Reservations Manager. This role is vital to ensuring a seamless reservation experience for visitors while supporting the Reservations Manager in overseeing operations. The Assistant Reservations Manager will work closely with park staff, vendors, and guests to enhance the visitor experience in one of the most breathtaking natural destinations in the world. About Denali National Park & Preserve and Doyon/Aramark Joint Venture: Summer days in Alaska stretch nearly endlessly, with up to 20 hours of daylight on the Summer Solstice. Spanning 6.2 million acres, Denali National Park & Preserve is home to Denali, the highest peak in North America, and attracts over half a million visitors annually. Conveniently accessible by road—4.5 hours from Anchorage and 2 hours from Fairbanks. Doyon Limited and Aramark have teamed up in a Joint Venture as the Denali National Park & Preserve's Concessionaire. Open May to September, our operation manages the transportation, retail, guest service and food and beverage concessions with our client; The National Park Service. By road, our 100 Blue Bird Bus Fleet takes guests past the 15-mile public access point daily during summer months, allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb, and camp where few people have set foot. This is a seasonal role with ideal dates of April 23 - September 18, 2026. We offer competitive wages, paid Holidays, Sick Pay and Benefits Stipend. Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Previous hospitality experience in large, high-end resort preferred.
  • Previous Front Desk/Customer Service management experience required.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft business applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Springer-Miller Property Management System or like system desired.
  • Previous hospitality or call center environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations according to established policies and procedures.
  • Proficient with SMS (Springer Miller System) Reservation System.
  • Utilize approved telephone etiquette and Quality Assurance procedures while always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain product knowledge through the effective use of SMS HOST, documented reference materials, Aramark websites, and Aramark Leisure intranet site.
  • Quote accurate rates and inventory availability.
  • Suggest alternatives to guests when inventory or rate related events inhibit a guest from making a buying decision.
  • Utilize up-selling techniques whenever possible to achieve the highest average rate possible.
  • Create, maintain, and keep accurate customer records within the client data system.
  • Always communicate professionally to current and prospective guests and clients.
  • Communicate regularly and work cohesively with direct Supervisor and CRES leadership team to ensure the highest level of sales conversion, customer service and effectiveness exists.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns.
  • Are passionate about delivering quality service and making a difference in the guest experience.
  • Professional and polished demeanor with a positive, upbeat, and friendly personality.
  • Have excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Possess above average communication skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills; Microsoft Outlook and internet browser proficient.
