About The Position
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking a Researcher IV in the Cell and Molecular Biology department. This position involves planning, designing, and implementing research projects, as well as preparing and maintaining culture media, reagents, and experimental animals. The researcher will establish new and modify existing research techniques in collaboration with research faculty, perform routine and non-routine experiments, and compile, analyze, and interpret research data using various software applications. The role also includes writing, reviewing, and editing materials for publication, assisting with manuscripts and grant proposals, and performing supervisory and training duties for lower-level employees. The position requires maintaining detailed records of laboratory activities and may involve occasional exposure to unpleasant physical environments and biohazardous conditions.
