About The Position

The position involves setting up and performing routine and established lab procedures to support lab goals and grant commitments. This includes conducting assays, cell/tissue culture, and animal studies. The individual will monitor results, report unusual outcomes, and suggest modifications as necessary. Responsibilities also include collecting, entering, and summarizing data, assisting in the maintenance of lab equipment and supplies, and performing basic statistical data analysis. The role requires preparing tables, charts, and graphs, as well as assisting in organizing data. Additionally, the individual will present findings at research laboratory meetings and contribute to the writing of manuscripts. The position is supervised, but the individual may perform some assignments independently as discussed and approved by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science, or an associate's degree with 6 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Solid understanding of lab techniques, equipment, and safety.
  • Ability to organize and carry out laboratory techniques independently and in a team setting.
  • Experience with basic data analysis is required.
  • Demonstrated writing skills.

  • Experience with iPSC cell culture.
