About The Position

This position performs complex technical and administrative functions in support of OEA’s strategic priorities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of complex technical or administrative office experience required.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as calendar scheduling, word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Advanced skill in use of computer software and office-related applications.
  • Internet research abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data within internal and external databases and resources.
  • Uses current computer software applications to develop new and manipulates existing spreadsheets; word processing documents, database management, electronic communications and other correspondence or supporting materials.
  • Provides clerical and technical support for organizing plans and practices for engaging members.
  • Sets up and maintains paper or electronic filing systems; recording and coding information, updating paperwork, and composing and maintaining documents, spreadsheets, records, correspondence, or other material. Maintains confidential records and files.
  • Prepares materials and conducts training for staff on research-related topics.
  • Operates office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, video conferencing and phone systems.
  • Communicates information to managers, co-workers and others in person, by telephone, in written form, or e-mail.
  • Maintains and updates information on Intranet and Internet.
  • Prepares for and makes arrangements for meetings and conferences.
  • Completes forms in accordance with OEA procedures.
  • Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail or other materials.
  • Composes, types, copies, and distributes reports and other printed materials.
  • Carries out special projects and assignments.
  • Operates in a collaborative team environment.
  • Attends staff meetings and trainings.
  • Provides input into decision-making that impacts Associate Staff functions.
