About The Position

The Laboratory of Liman Zhang is seeking a full-time Research Technician to be a key part of our research team. Dr. Zhang's research uses structural biology to uncover the molecular mechanisms of immunological processes. By combining cryoEM and biochemistry the lab studies inflammasome assembly during pathogen-host interactions and cancer development. In this role, you will be provided training for the following responsibilities: Lead a research project to master skills in molecular cloning and protein science. Opportunity to learn structural biology and cryoEM techniques. Establish and maintain high-standard research practices. Practice scientific communication in and outside of the lab. Assist lab manager in supporting the lab's daily function, including purchasing laboratory supplies, monitoring supplies, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Provide Core Services, including buffer preparation and cell line maintenance. Successful candidates for this position will have the following qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Cell/Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related biomedical fields At least one (1) year of wet lab bench experience is preferred but not required. Requirements
