Our research focuses on how sensory neurons detect environmental stimuli and communicate with immune cells to initiate and shape immune responses at barrier tissues such as the skin and lung. Using integrated approaches spanning immunology, neuroscience, genetics, and systems biology, our work aims to uncover fundamental mechanisms of immune regulation and identify new therapeutic targets for inflammatory and allergic disorders. The candidate will play an integral role in a dynamic and collaborative research environment and will have the opportunity to gain broad training in modern biomedical research.
