About The Position

Join the Proteomics and Metabolomics Core as a Research Technician! You will enable cutting-edge discoveries across multiple cancer research programs by generating high-quality proteomic data that drives biomarker discovery, therapeutic development, and deeper understanding of cancer biology. Role Overview: Process proteomic samples for Investigators using existing techniques (in gel digestion, in solution digestion, TMT labeling, etc). Prepare laboratory equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays and other supplies as instructed for research experiments. Operate lab equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, analytical balancers, spectrophotometers, and other equipment as instructed. Respond to and complete tasks as instructed by the Core Director and staff associated with designated research projects by carrying out the requested activities. Provide assistance with other on-going research personnel in the laboratory by completing tasks related to the projects within the deadline specified Perform necessary analysis and calculations, record data and write protocols Ensure that all research/discovery work is conducted with highest quality and ethical guidelines and in accordance with relevant regulatory, QC, and compliance guidelines Maintain laboratory records and adherence to safety policies Be responsible for monitoring the inventory for the laboratory Communicate with vendor technical support and sales representatives as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
