About The Position

This technician will process bacterial cultures, mammalian cell cultures, and perform molecular, serological, histopathology and in-situ hybridization assays for the Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory (IPRL). Computer skills are required for data entry, result reporting, data summaries, and responding.

Requirements

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
• Previous experience in a molecular/histopathology/research laboratory setting

Nice To Haves

• Four year degree in Biology or equivalent related experience
• Benchtop laboratory skills, i.e. pipetting, culturing bacteria, microscope competence
• Prior experience or interest in human and veterinary medicine research
