The Plasticity in Neurodevelopment Lab (PINE Lab) at Northeastern University, led by Professor Laurel Gabard-Durnam, is seeking a full-time Research Technician to work on a project examining how electroencephalography (EEG) neuroimaging measures in the first years of life predict later language and cognitive development in populations experiencing early adversity. We will be focusing on individuals who have experienced iron deficiency and children experiencing severe poverty across several geographies including South Africa, and the USA. This position is part of a larger project funded by the Gates Foundation examining early brain biomarkers of healthy development and school readiness in global contexts. This role provides exposure to research at the intersection of neuroscience, developmental psychology, predictive modeling, and public health.
