Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an excellent bench scientist at the level of Research Technician II to assist with research projects investigating anti-allogenic humoral responses in transplant patients. The ideal candidate will have extensive laboratory experience in molecular and cellular biology and should be highly organized and detail-oriented. The major techniques involved include primary B cell culture, tumor cell line culture, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques such as RNA extraction, RT-PCR, and NGS library preparation. Detailed protocols are established for most assays, and side-by-side training will be provided. The experimenter must understand the underlying biology while closely following protocols, with adherence to high standards of scientific rigor being essential.
