Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine laboratory procedures including check-in/accessioning of cultures.
  • Perform computer data entry including quality management.
  • Prepare media for laboratory use.
  • Collect, wash, and sterilize glassware as needed.
  • Streak cultures for isolation.
  • Dispose of biohazardous waste responsibly.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
  • Handle faxing, emailing, and answering phone calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
