About the position

The Research Technician 3 will assist and communicate with the Principal Investigator in the management of the research lab and lab experiments. The laboratory focuses on vascularized models for cancer and biomedical applications. Responsibilities include preparing and summarizing data for manuscripts and grant proposals, preparing research progress reports, assisting with the preparation of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts, supporting and training other laboratory members and students, managing and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing administrative tasks such as coordinating lab meetings and safety inspections, maintaining stock reagents and solutions, ordering supplies and equipment, and managing the laboratory website and communications on social media. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and communicate with Principal Investigator in management of the research lab and lab experiments.
  • Prepare and summarize data for manuscripts and grant proposals.
  • Prepare research progress reports.
  • Assist with preparation of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts.
  • Support and train other laboratory members and students.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Perform administrative tasks including coordinating lab meetings and safety inspections.
  • Maintain stock reagents and solutions.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory website and manage laboratory communications on social media.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (Bioengineering or equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in addition to degree (experience can include undergraduate or graduate research).

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge to research.
  • Ability to work with other researchers and communicate clearly in a group setting.
