Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) . Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Teaching Specialist V position will support the research success in understanding the role of the microbiome in lung disease and HIV-associated lung disease. The Research Teaching Specialist V will be involved in research projects that span human studies, microbiome research, the role of inflammation, and pulmonary function. The lab will address the question of how the oral, lung, and gut microbiomes may contribute to inflammation and lung damage and why people with HIV get accelerated lung disease using human samples, organoid models, and ex vivo tissue models. The Research Teaching Specialist V is expected to directly contribute to this research by assisting in processing and analyses of human samples as well as assisting in research projects, lab organization, and lab ordering.
