Overview: Job Description Summary: Conducts surgical research under the supervision of senior surgeons, assisting with protocol development and data analysis. Job Description: Essential Functions: May perform molecular biology, cell biology and/or animal experiments. Designs and conducts scientific experiments to obtain data. May participate in clinical research and IRB protocols. Writes and publishes scientific manuscripts and journals. Contributes to grant submissions for external funding. Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic school, or international equivalent, required. Currently in a Surgery Training Program, required. Skills: Necessary technical skills in the appropriate area of research. Effective technical writing and communication skills. Experience: Two years of surgical training, preferred. Experience with large animal surgeries, preferred.
