About The Position

The Research Student reports to the Principal Investigator, providing assistance to the project staff, as needed. Requirements

• Must be a matriculating student in a 4-year college program.
• No experience needed.
• Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to use computer keyboard and other common laboratory and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research protocols in conjunction with project staff, which may include, but are not limited to: - Data entry, data cleaning, data analyses, and data programming tasks as needed -Assisting in the recruitment of participants including telephone screening efforts, - Assisting research assistants in participant visits - Literature reviews.
• May serve as a liaison to research participants, reminding them of upcoming clinical appointments and monitoring progress between visits
• Under supervision of the Principal Investigator or designee, perform basic laboratory experiments in the program field. May include such activities as pipetting, tissue culture, data analysis, and other experimental procedures.
• Maintains quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies, procedures and objectives.
• Performs other related duties as required.
