As a Research Student II Post Baccalaureate, you will work closely with research personnel and actively participate in a structured learning experience in laboratory or clinical research settings. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical procedures, data collection and analysis, and other related skills, providing valuable exposure to careers in biomedical and clinical research. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • May be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program students (EXCLUDES students in a PhD program)
  • This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for master’s or other advanced degrees
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Ability to distinguish color.
  • Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous research laboratory experience with a focus in a science or healthcare-related field of study

Responsibilities

  • Learn laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in a laboratory or clinical setting.
  • Learn how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or data sets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
