About The Position

While working closely with research personnel, the Research Student II Post Baccalaureate participates actively in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. This role aims to help students gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis, and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • May be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program student. (EXCLUDES students in a PhD program)
  • This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for master’s or other advanced degree.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • None required.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with previous clinical research or research laboratory experience are often preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Student will begin learning laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in the laboratory or clinical setting with minimal supervision
  • Student will begin learning how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or other data sets with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
