About The Position

The Ludwig Princeton Branch at Princeton University seeks applicants for a Research Specialist position to join a laboratory focused on studying cancer immunology, and the effect of diet and obesity on cancer progression. The successful candidate will work with Professor Lydia Lynch and members of the lab to design and perform experiments with a particular focus on immunometabolic pathways in vitro and in vivo including analysis of mouse model of obesity and cancer. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of extension. Depending on the prior experience of the applicant, candidates at a variety of levels, based on the requirements below, will be considered. Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience. The finalist will be required to pass a background check.

Requirements

  • A strong background in science and a bachelor's degree is required
  • Math and computer proficiency
  • Meticulous record keeping

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • A background in molecular biology, immunology and/or cancer biology is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience with molecular biology and laboratory rodent handling
  • Experience with tissue culture
  • Computational biology experience is also highly desirable
