Our division, Market Intelligence, has a specialized focus on company & industry intelligence, research and cloud solutions. The Data & Research business line comprises of Capital IQ Solutions and our core data assets, including Visible Alpha, After Market Research, deep Industry and Company data, and LLM capable offerings such as Pronto. You will be part of a fast moving, high output team that embodies S&P’s core values of Discovery, Partnership, and Integrity. Responsibilities and Impact: The expectations for a D&R Research Specialist are high, but we believe deeply that through autonomy and challenge comes growth and success. We have product specialists and commercial leaders who are eager to help navigate each unique opportunity with one shared end goal. Here are some of the core responsibilities of the role:

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product, commercial, or research roles
  • Experience in managing and growing business within complex organizations like SAAS.
  • Strong technical and negotiation skills to close complex deals
  • Willingness to approach every problem as an entrepreneur with grit, creativity, and persistence
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and Salesforce
  • Strong communication, organization, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical capabilities in the areas of financial modeling and valuation analysis is desirable.
  • Confidence in cold calling and dealing with C-Level executives over the phone and in person.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, commerce or related subjects, CFA, MBA will be a plus.
  • Experience selling into the Investment Management, Hedge Funds and Private Equity space.
  • Background in selling data analytical software platforms

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mastery of Market Intelligence’s Market Research offering to help execute large scale new revenue opportunities
  • Develop and execute on territory strategy for Market Intelligence’s Market Research offering(s)
  • Responsible for supporting both commercial and product initiatives
  • Execute outbound sales strategies through collaboration with Sales, Product, and Marketing counterparts.
  • Be entrepreneurial - stay current with industry news to develop marketing initiatives and create client events to attract prospects
