This position is responsible for leading field experiments to maintain advanced research testbeds on the PVAMU Farm; assist extension assistant and county agent in helping farmers with relevant practices; conduct research on spatial hydrology, agricultural water management, carbon sequestration, and using hydrologic/climatic/crop/carbon models in combination; assist the team with downloading data, modeling, and identifying environmental stressors; contribute to writing research reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals and present results at scientific meetings; participate in extension and outreach activities as needed by the program; Work in collaboration with other researchers; assist undergraduate and graduate students and extension personnel; Support achieving the university’s commitment to teaching, research, and service excellence. This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding. The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.
