About The Position

The Research Specialist C will work on independent projects with SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses leading to publication and assist in manuscript writing. The candidate will also serve as the lab manager which will include ordering supplies, coordinating with external vendors, maintaining equipment and laboratory space, and shipping to collaborators.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Significant experience (4-5 years) working with a variety of coronaviruses and other viruses, basic moleulcar biology techniques, and primary cell models is essential.
Position contingent upon funding.

Nice To Haves

Advanced experience or skills in the areas of virology, tissue culture, immunoblotting, qPCR.
