About The Position

The Research Services Training Specialist is responsible for providing training to the entire firm, including attorneys, paralegals, and staff on all RS products, including research platforms, practice technologies, and knowledge management, via instructor lead classroom, online, and one on one coaching. Job Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Create and conduct both general (topical) and targeted (by resource or office) trainings for lawyers, paralegals and staff throughout Dechert. Design and create collateral for specific products and or research processes. Conduct Research Services orientations for all US lawyers and staff to ensure proper on-boarding is provided, including training on heavily used resources as well as Dechert Research Services specific offerings via instructor lead classroom, online, and one on one coaching. Provide follow-up support to new hires to ensure user adoption of RS sources and services. Participate in product trials and rollouts throughout US, including organizing and attending training sessions, ensuring usage and adoption of products, and briefing vendors on expectations. Work with the Dechert Talent team on training initiatives as needed. Organize internal training sessions for Research Services as needed. Participate or attend relevant professional seminars to keep informed of the latest training trends. Travel to other Firm offices as needed. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MLIS preferred 2-4 years’ experience training on legal resources with a broad knowledge of the legal materials and databases used to support the Firm’s practice areas and research needs for client work and for business development efforts. Vendor side training experience preferred.
