A Research Scientist is a full-time contract researcher who will investigate one or more of the priority areas of the Oklahoma Cyber Innovation Institute (OCII) as they relate to cyber research, technology, and education for the majority of their time and effort. These areas are cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, smart environments, AI, autonomy, robotics, supply chain manufacturing, and human-machine teaming. Funding should be sought from public and private sponsors for direct problem solving and solution delivery. Research should be applied and use-inspired, with deliverables aligned with external sponsor needs. A portion of time and effort is expected to include: (1) moving research into the OCII educational and training programs, (2) participating in the administration of educational or business expectations, (3) reporting of OCII activities to stakeholders, and (4) supporting the growth of OCII in priority areas and new areas that are introduced as OCII expands.
