Plans, coordinates, directs, and participates in work of smaller research project or major unit of large research project in field of specialization for which incumbent is particularly qualified in terms of extensive training and/or experience. Candidate will perform the following duties- support the design, synthesis, and evaluation of novel theranostic agents proposed in Dr. Pomper's NIH-funded projects. Specifically, the position will: 1) Perform organic and conjugation chemistry procedures to prepare novel theranostic agents; 2) Participate in the biological evaluation of the agents in relevant in vitro and in vivo models; 3) Support the cyclotron team's research efforts on investigational radiopharmaceuticals; and 4) Prepare research reports and manuscripts for professional meeting presentation and scientific publication. Ideal candidate will have PhD or a degree equivalent in synthetic chemistry and 5 years of research experience in the field of radiopharmaceutical chemistry after PhD.
