About The Position
As a Research Scientist in the MR R&D Collaborations team at Siemens Healthineers, you will play a pivotal role in transforming healthcare delivery through the development of advanced MR imaging methodologies. This position is based in the Dallas area, Texas, at an academic institution, where you will be responsible for managing collaborations between Siemens and academic partners. Your role will involve identifying areas of mutual interest for future collaboration projects, developing and managing these projects, and adhering to Siemens' collaboration policies. You will also be tasked with driving new clinical and research MR projects, ensuring that they align with strategic goals and contribute to the advancement of healthcare technologies. In addition to collaboration management, you will engage in research and development activities, working closely with academic partners to drive MR research and translate findings into practical MR products. This includes developing novel cardiovascular imaging techniques, creating prototypes, and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals. You will also conduct original research that may lead to patent applications, thereby contributing to the innovative landscape of medical imaging. Your responsibilities will extend to product development, where you will integrate innovative techniques into existing products, implement improvements, and maintain the code base. You will also support sales and marketing efforts by providing content for articles and marketing materials, translating clinical knowledge into business value, and participating in educational meetings and tradeshows. This role requires a strong understanding of the organization's business practices and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
