  • PhD degree in immunology with strong background in cell biology, computational biology skills, or MS with 6+ years of experience, or BS with 8+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech R&D.
  • Experience with fully integrated automation platforms and assay miniaturization, as well as high throughput data analysis systems
  • Proven expertise in lab-based immunology techniques (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, HTRF, FP, Luminescence, cell culture, & multiplexed assays)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of B cell-driven autoimmune disease and translational research as evidenced by prior involvement in drug discovery is preferred
  • Experience with machine learning or AI-based approaches in biological data analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based computing environments and data pipelines
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead high throughput, fully automated, pharmacology studies to enable advancement of drug candidates into early clinical trials
  • Design assays and implement them on automated platforms to drive rapid performance and analysis of cell-based in vitro assays to characterize immune cell function, disease-relevant signaling pathways and drug pharmacology.
  • Drive collaboration and communication between GI2 scientists, automation engineers, and computational biology experts
  • Champion scientific integrity and rigor in data analysis, preparation, and interpretation of detailed protocols/SOPs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally Automation Engineers, GI2 Scientists and Data Science teams to support data-driven decision-making
  • Proactively identify complexities and obstacles, propose and implement solutions, and deploy diverse resources to boost research progress
  • Present findings to cross-functional project teams and GI2 scientists
