About The Position

As a Research Science intern with the Quantum Algorithms Team at CQC, you will work alongside global experts to develop novel quantum algorithms, evaluate prospective applications of fault-tolerant quantum computers, and strengthen the long-term value proposition of quantum computing. A strong candidate will have experience applying methods of mathematical and numerical analysis to assess the performance of quantum algorithms and establish their advantage over classical algorithms. Requirements

  • Are enrolled in a PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
  • Can relocate to where the internship is based

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in subarea of quantum algorithms or related topic in theoretical quantum information science
  • Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language
  • Interest is staying abreast of new research developments in the field of quantum computation
