There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.

Meta Reality Labs is seeking interns to contribute to our innovative work in neuromotor interfaces, a field that has evolved from our acquisition of CTRL-labs. This internship offers a unique opportunity to help us unlock human potential by bridging the gap between user intent and action. As an intern, you will work closely with a distinguished, multi-disciplinary team of researchers and engineers, engaging in research focused on utilizing neuromotor signals, such as electromyography (EMG), to enhance interactions within virtual and augmented environments. The research questions tackled by our team are diverse and include topics such as human motor learning and control, the generation and propagation of EMG signals, the design and optimization of sensor array hardware, and the development of algorithms for processing sensor data to deduce user intent. These efforts are grounded in principles of signal processing, control theory, and human-computer interaction. We encourage applicants from a wide array of technical backgrounds, whether they lean towards experimental or theoretical approaches, and those with multidisciplinary interests. Many of the research methodologies we employ are inspired by or directly drawn from fields like artificial speech recognition, brain-machine interface design, computational neuroscience, and array signal processing techniques used in lidar, radar, sonar, and ultrasound applications. Our internships typically last between twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks, with various start dates available throughout the year. This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge research environment while contributing to the advancement of neuromotor interface technology.
