About The Position

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for improved data collection and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for drafting papers, reports, and presentations.
  • Ability to prepare reports and data visualizations using quantitative and qualitative datasets.
  • Experience delivering presentations and trainings to various groups.
  • Proficiency in analytic software (e.g., SPSS, R, SQL) equivalent to one year of experience.
  • Experience working with government agencies, researchers, or community-based organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience drafting and adapting data collection instruments and tools.
  • Experience giving presentations at conferences or workshops.
  • Knowledge of Institutional Review Boards and human subjects research protection.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts research studies in areas such as criminology, public health, victim studies, and violence prevention.
  • Disseminates research findings to advance knowledge and programming.
  • Assists with improving data collection and reporting systems for criminal justice and victim service stakeholders.
  • Provides training and support on data collection and interpretation for planning and evaluation purposes.
  • Establishes and maintains professional contacts with researchers, stakeholders, and practitioners.
