The position will be responsible for general lab support, executing projects within the laboratory, writing study/research plans, and summarizing data to clients and colleagues via technical reports. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience with protein purification using standard biochemical techniques (HPLC, AKTA, or similar), OR
  • Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with a minimum 0-2 years’ experience with protein purification using standard biochemical techniques (HPLC, AKTA, or similar)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mAb purification, HPLC, SDS-PAGE
  • Experience with depth filtration and tangential flow filtration (TFF)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine purification of mAb and non-mAb proteins using standard chromatographic techniques (HPLC, AKTA, or similar).
  • Develop new purification procedures using chromatographic and other techniques
  • Perform filtration process development studies (depth filtration, viral filtration, ultrafiltration and diafiltration, UF/DF)
  • Perform in-process analytical testing to evaluate the biochemical properties of purified biomolecules (SDS-PAGE, UPLC, etc.)
  • Provide general lab support and management
  • Communicate project updates and technical reports to supervisor and senior level management
  • Identify and promptly troubleshoot technical issues
