Embedded within the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT, the Center for the Development of Therapeutics (CDoT) is a highly collaborative organization of professional drug discovery scientists. Our mission is to translate the deep biological insights emerging from the Broad community into new therapeutics. To accomplish this mission, we partner with faculty from MIT, Harvard, and the Harvard teaching hospitals together with industry professionals in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and venture capital firms and advance cutting-edge drug discovery projects. We create new technologies and work to apply the unique capabilities of the Broad Institute to enable new therapeutic approaches that will broadly benefit the scientific community. We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Research Scientist I to join the Biochemistry & Biophysics group. As a lab-based position, the candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of biophysical assays utilizing state-of-the-art capabilities to advance drug discovery projects, and experience in this area is required. The successful candidate will be a results-focused, team-oriented, creative bench scientist. They must be self-motivated and detail-oriented, exhibiting strong problem-solving skills and the ability to excel in a fast-track environment. In addition, the successful candidate should be a clear and effective communicator, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to enable collaboration with cross-functional project teams in identifying and achieving research goals.
