We are looking for a motivated and thoughtful Research Scientist I (Lab Manager) to help run and grow a collaborative, fast-moving lab at Mount Sinai. Our work focuses on how the nervous system senses and encodes information from immune responses, using mouse genetics, imaging, flow cytometry, behavior, electrophysiology and single-cell approaches. The Research Scientist I is an experienced laboratory or clinical research individual who conducts research involving the understanding of human diseases and the improvement of human health. S/he engages in clinical investigation or other research, production, technical writing, and related activities. Aspects of the role include: Day-to-day lab operations Coordinate experimental workflows Manage mouse colonies Interface with core facilities Train and support lab members Coordinate human tissue-related experiments Oversee IACUC and IBC protocols Maintain lab biosafety compliance
