The Division of Medical Genetics has an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled Research Scientist/Engineer 3(FULL-TIME) in the laboratory of Mary-Claire King PhD. Field of Research: Human genetics, RNA sequencing, transcriptional analysis and other functional characterization of newly discovered candidate disease alleles. Purpose of the research project(s): This individual will work in a team effort as part of the King Laboratory to use transcriptional and other functional analytic tools to study inherited cancers and neuropsychiatric disorders. This position requires a strong background in RNA sequencing and culture of lymphoblast growth and biology, and devising and testing novel approaches in transcriptional analysis. This position is experimental biology and requires full-time in-person work at the Health Sciences Building, K wing. Remote work is not possible for this position. Research Sponsor/Stakeholders: NIH
