About The Position

The Research Program Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University will play a pivotal role in the Center for Indigenous Health, which is part of the Department of International Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. This position is essential for the coordination and management of research studies focused on infectious diseases and behavioral health, specifically aimed at improving health outcomes for Native American families and communities. The Coordinator will oversee the activation and coordination of study sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, training study team members, and maintaining data integrity throughout the research process. This role requires a high level of organization, knowledge, and oversight, serving as a central resource for faculty and staff involved in research activities. The Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of operational activities at the Center's Fort Defiance site, including onboarding and supervising team members, coordinating behavioral health program duties, and managing programmatic activities. This includes developing materials and curricula, conducting data entry and analysis, and participating in regular meetings with community-based sites. The Coordinator will also be involved in marketing efforts for the Center, coordinating literature reviews, assisting with presentations and manuscript preparation, and ensuring the completion of regular progress reports. The position requires attendance at trainings and meetings, which may involve travel and occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work. In addition to these responsibilities, the Coordinator will work closely with the leadership team at the Fort Defiance site to ensure operational efficiency across multiple buildings and teams. The role demands strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including university employees and external contacts.
