The Wyles lab in the Mayo Clinic Department of Dermatology is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to study the association between cutting-edge biomarkers of skin health span and tissue engineering. In this role, the candidate will lead independent projects focused on defining the molecular and cellular mechanisms of skin senescence using advanced human skin models, with relevance to aging, regeneration, and longevity biology. The successful candidate will bring strong PhD-level training in molecular and cellular biology and will work at the interface of wet-lab experimentation and multi-omic data interpretation in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. This position offers the opportunity to lead innovative, translational research at the intersection of dermatology, regenerative medicine, and aging biology within a well-resourced academic medical center. A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS) will require knowledge of either clinical-based research or laboratory-based research often obtained from a postdoctoral program. "A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Upon background check and CCATS Executive Committee approval, Research Fellow may have patient/research subject contact directly relating to and incidental to the original research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic."
