About The Position

HJF is seeking a Research Portfolio Technical Lead who will serve as the Principle Investigator and is responsible for long-term research strategy development, independently designing research projects of considerable complexity and difficulty. Supervises projects and investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions, products, and problems. We are looking for an innovator who is focused on overseeing and expanding HJF's Research Portfolio. This position will be in support of Air Force Research Laboratory, Human Effectiveness Directorate (AFRL/RH), Continuing Human Enabling, Enhancing, Restoring, and Sustaining (CHEERS) at Wright Patterson AF Base in Dayton, OH. The position can be remote/hybrid for the right candidate. The goal of this contract is to provide a comprehensive strategy for advancing science and technology (S&T) efforts from basic research to technology maturation and transition. The USAFSAM aims to ensure readiness among Airmen, Guardians, and Medics in various environments by leveraging expertise in Aerospace and Operational Medicine. The CHEERS effort will facilitate study efforts on novel concepts and R&D contracts aimed at maturing specific technologies to appropriate Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).
