About The Position
The Research Oceanography Specialist position is a regular, full-time role with the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology (SOEST) at the University of Hawai‘i (UH) at Manoa and UH Marine Center in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. The position involves providing field and laboratory support for ongoing oceanographic research projects, managing field sampling equipment, and conducting biogeochemical and microbiological analyses. The role requires participation in research cruises and array deployment at sea, as well as maintaining equipment and laboratory records. Employment continuation is dependent on program needs, satisfactory performance, and compliance with laws.
