About The Position

The Research Nurse position at Kaiser Permanente involves participating in a CDC research study focused on the effectiveness of the flu vaccine. Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of experience performing professional functions required by the project.
• Certifications, licenses, or degrees such as registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or other relevant health-related qualifications.

• Masters degree or PhD in health-related field.
• Experience recruiting participants in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical evaluation/intervention/measurements requiring professional clinical knowledge/education/training.
• Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to evaluate participant responses and make decisions regarding patient safety and participation issues.
• Provide professional expertise in day-to-day coordination of research activities.
• Develop project intervention plans and tools, data collection instruments, and manuals of operations.
• Train new employees and prepare reports related to research activities.
• Plan, implement, and monitor participant safety and data quality control measures.
• Evaluate responses of participants and make independent clinical judgments regarding clinical interventions.
• Participate as part of the research project team, attend project meetings, and identify problems while proposing solutions.
• Perform medical record reviews and telephone or in-person interviews as required.
