About The Position

Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY (HOACNY), recognized as one of Central New York’s Best Places to Work, is seeking a full-time Research Medical Assistant. HOACNY provides cancer care services from Monday through Friday during day hours at three locations: East Syracuse, Syracuse, and Auburn. Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology sufficient to review and develop procedures used in health data records
Skill in identifying and resolving problematic situations
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and decision-making in meeting clinic objectives
Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records, files, reports, and other correspondence
High School Diploma
Medical Assistant Certification
Two years medical experience

Nice To Haves

Oncology experience preferred

Responsibilities

Collecting and submitting specimens for assigned patients
Maintaining specimen collection and shipping supplies
Performing vital signs
Performing EKG’s
Performing study questionnaires
Submitting data under the direction of the Research Director and Lead Clinical Research RN
