About The Position

Elevate Clinical Research partners with leading pharmaceutical sponsors and CROs to conduct high‑quality Phase I–IV clinical trials. Our Lake Charles site provides a professional, patient‑focused environment where accuracy, compliance, and compassionate care drive every study.

The Research/Medical Assistant supports daily clinical trial operations by assisting with patient visits, performing protocol‑required procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring a smooth, compliant workflow for the study team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, patient‑centered, and eager to grow within clinical research.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly regulated environment
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic documentation

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
• Previous healthcare, phlebotomy, or clinical research experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for study visits
• Obtain and record vital signs, ECGs, height/weight, and other protocol‑required measurements
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, labeling, and chain‑of‑custody documentation
• Support study coordinators with scheduling, patient reminders, and visit preparation
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Document all procedures and observations accurately in source documents and study systems
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH‑GCP, and sponsor protocols
• Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and chart preparation
• Support general site operations as needed, including inventory, filing, and administrative tasks
