The incumbent aids scientists in their experiments by monitoring and recording their findings. Moreover, the Research Laboratory Technician ensures laboratory compliance with applicable safety regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, maintains, and operates laboratory equipment.
• Keeps records of research data and assists in analyzing it.
• Maintains inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies and places orders in a timely fashion.
• Proofreads and assists in the writing of manuscripts, grant proposals, and lab protocols.
• Prepares reports of experiment results.
• Performs research by completing simple experiments or steps in more complicated studies.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
