About The Position

The Perlis Laboratory in the Center for Quantitative Health (CQH), part of the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician II. This role involves working in neuropsychiatric disease cellular modeling and translational neuroscience, specifically supporting the Platform for Cellular Modeling of Neuropsychiatric Disease (cMiND). The position is ideal for individuals with experience or a strong interest in stem cell biology, disease modeling, neuroscience, and developmental genetics. This is a fully supported appointment with annual renewal based on merit and achievement. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study (experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree)
1-2 years of Previous Research Lab Experience
Analytical skills and ability to resolve technical problems
Ability to interpret acceptability of data results
Strong Computer skills
Demonstrated competence in research techniques and methodologies

Responsibilities

Executes protocols of non-routine experiments.
Assists PI with determining the most suitable methodology.
Performs basic design and modiﬁcation of protocols.
Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data.
Prepares and presents reports.
Organizes and summarizes acquired data using scientiﬁc and Statistical Techniques.
Participates in the design of experiments or ﬁeld work.
