Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) is seeking an instructor for its online, Research Fundamentals course for students in grades 9-12. This research course will introduce students across the state to the process of conducting scientific research including designing a research question, a literature review, gathering data, analyzing data, and writing conclusions. Students will be introduced to statistical modeling, scientific writing, and presentation skills. This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position. This position has the ability to be completed remotely and the course is mostly asynchronous. Expected hours will vary by the number of enrolled students, but typically be 10 hours/week for a cohort of approximately 30-40 students. This position will begin in March of 2026, with the actual course taking place from March 9, 2026 through May 29, 2026.
