The laboratory of Dr. Grinberg is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our growing team investigating the basis of sleep dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases. This role is part of a multidisciplinary effort to decipher how neurodegenerative processes impact the sleep-wake system, with the ultimate goal of developing effective therapeutic strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience or neuroanatomy and a passion for neuropathology. Working closely with neuropathologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and neuroscientists, you will explore sleep- and wake-promoting nuclei in human brain tissue using neuroanatomical, neuropathological, and molecular tools to generate biological insights with clinical relevance. This position offers: Advanced training in neuroanatomy, histology, quantitative human neuropathology, and molecular techniques. Opportunities to correlate brain pathology with antemortem clinical and imaging data. An exceptional research environment for a neuroscientist looking to specialize in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, sleep, and neurodegeneration.
