About The Position

A Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position is available in the Department of Radiation Oncology. The Mutter lab is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative post-doctoral fellow. The individual will be interested in basic and translational research training aimed at improving the lives of patients with cancer at Mayo Clinic. Mayo Clinic is one of the premier health care institutes in the world. Robert W. Mutter, M.D., is a radiation oncologist and physician scientist in the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He co-leads the Novel Therapeutics and Therapeutic Modalities Research Program of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Mutter lab discovers new tumor-specific therapeutic targets and develops novel combinatorial approaches to overcome treatment resistance, such as through manipulation of the DNA damage response and host immunity. The team also investigates new biomarkers of response and resistance to radiation and other cancer treatments.
